The 1st Argus Mideast Gulf and Indian Ocean Oil (AMGIO) conference was held at the Intercontinental Dubai Festival City from 1-2 March.

The Mideast Gulf and Indian Ocean regions have been the focus of much attention as they emerge as important players in regional and global oil product markets. The conference kicked off with major industry stakeholders addressing the critical issues affecting the crude oil market, including evolving production profiles, potential change in trade flows, the outlook for Middle East and north Africa (Mena) economics and key policies, Russian crude production and exports, as well as developments in crude pricing.

With growing refining capacity in India and many Mideast Gulf states, regional product markets have become increasingly complex. The conference shared insights on regional products demand and supply balances and provided detailed analysis of key markets. The conference also examined key developments in the light and middle distillates market, as well as the pricing outlook for fuel oil and bunkers.
